The Nanaimo Astronomy Society is a gathering of amateur
astronomerswho meet monthly to enjoy their favourite avocation,
star gazing. We are located in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British
Columbia, Canada. Anyone with an interest in astronomy is welcome
to attend our meetings and participate in various working
groups.
Our activities include observing sessions, telescope making,
digital sky imaging, learning sessions about astronomy and space
exploration as well as public demonstrations and outreach.
We also share activities with the Cowichan Valley
StarFinders Astronomy Society, the Royal Astronomical
Society of Canada-Victoria, and Vancouver Island University.
