The Nanaimo Astronomy Society is a registered non profit society, dedicated to teaching people about the night sky.

We fund our outreach, events, learning and web resources, and other programs through our memberships and fundraising. Our annual membership is only $20 per year.  Since new members also get a $20 gift certificate from Canadian Telescopes, it is like getting a free membership if you are planning on buying any astro gear.  Renewing members also receive a $10 gift certificate. 

Member benefits:

• access to our members only dark site observing sessions

• observatory time (subject to organizers availability)
• a voice and vote in how the Society is run and what we focus on
• lower price on special events

• your own picture and video gallery on our web site

We ask, if finances permit, that our members also donate an additional $10 per year or more if possible.

To become a member of the Nanaimo Astronomy Society you can either pay online, come out to one of our meetings and join or you can write a cheque.

• A personal membership is $20 per year. 
  
• A family membership is $30 per year.  
• A professional membership is $50 per year and includes a link to your web site.
