The Nanaimo Astronomy Society is hosting a telescope observing session on Friday night at our pads at Pipers Lagoon Park. The main attraction will be a nearly full Moon and Saturn.

When : Friday 30th October 7.30pm

Where : Astronomy Pads, Pipers Lagoon Park

Our concrete pads are near the parking lot, hidden behind some trees on the ridge looking over to Gabriola Island. Look for the ‘Green Frog’ artwork, we’re next to that.

This event is obviously subject to favourable weather, and may have to be cancelled at short notice.
